I would never mind if Open XML would be just one of the standards (not the only standard) but I am against every attempt to adopt ONLY ONE standard that would favor only one platform. I think that file formats like Open XML, Open Document Format (ODF) and Portable Document Format (PDF) should be able to openly compete.

So, I am calling you to support the movement in Microsoft Community for Open XML by joining "Voices for Innovation" Community by clicking on following button:

DevArena Conference - real developers in action

Today I had an honor to speak on DevArena - conference organized by Ekobit.
I have several ideas how to use it, but I will share them with you when we decide what we will develop as a commercial product :-)
If you have idea and need support or advice - drop me a comment or e-mail and I will be more than happy to help you.

Unfortunatly, MSDN Live Meeting Development Portal is still supporting Live Meeting 2005/ Unified Communications Developer Portal supporting Live Communications Server 2005 - there is a small amount of Dev info for 2007!

Some of the info (mostly ITPro) can be found in following blogs:
1. http://mucuguk.org/blogs/microsoft_unified_communications_user_group_ap/archive/2007/08/30/174.aspx
2. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/technetmag/issues/2007/09/OCS/default.aspx
3. http://blogs.technet.com/eileen_brown/archive/2007/08/23/unified-communications-launch.aspx

Join the SDK Beta: http://blogs.msdn.com/lmapi/default.aspx, but I could not make it work!
